About Julia
Julia Turner earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Global Development Studies from Queen's University and a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law in 2023, graduating on the Dean's Honour List and receiving the Gregory S. Pun K.C. Scholarship for Advanced Legal Research and Writing. She practises criminal defence and previously worked as a legal assistant in the Crown Counsel office. She has volunteered providing legal support to low income individuals and survivors of intimate partner violence in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, and her academic research focused on policing models for Indigenous communities in BC.
