About Erin

Erin MacLean holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Victoria and a combined JD/JID (Juris Doctor/Juris Indigenarum Doctor) from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, awarded in 2024. She joined Waugh & Associates as a summer student in 2023 and now practises criminal defence. Before law school she worked in brain injury, mental health, addictions and youth justice roles within the criminal justice system. Her research, "Adult Guardianship in British Columbia and Its Relationship to Reconciliation," was published in the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues in 2024.
