About Josh

Josh Van Deurzen advises clients on major infrastructure projects across Canada and the U.S., drawing on a business background and experience with award-winning infrastructure work. Licensed to practice in both Ontario and New York, Josh works on commercial agreements related to designing, financing, building, running, and maintaining large infrastructure and P3 projects along the Canada-U.S. border. Josh represents government authorities, developers, contractors, service providers, lenders, and underwriters across sectors including healthcare, broadband, transit, water and wastewater, education, and power. Josh serves on the board of directors of the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, and before joining Torys worked in-house as counsel to a major global private merchant bank.
