About Josh

Josh is a partner at Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP whose insurance practice covers first-party claims, personal injury claims and professional liability, along with property, product liability and subrogation matters. He has appeared before the Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and in private arbitrations. Before entering private practice, Josh worked as a legislative assistant to the federal Minister of the Environment and to a Member of Parliament. He earned a Master's in Political Science from Queen's University and an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto, then obtained his Canadian law degree from the University of Windsor and his American law degree, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2014 and the New York bar in 2017.
