About Joseph

Joseph Gill is a technology and tax partner at McKercher LLP specializing in high-growth technology startups and IT contracting. He has mentored hundreds of prairie technology startups, works with founders from ideation through exit, co-founded a legal technology startup, and serves as counsel to incubators across Western Canada. He was named a 2025 Lexpert Rising Star. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with distinction, majoring in Finance, from the University of Regina in 2009 and a Bachelor of Laws with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2012. He completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and holds certificates in privacy law, cybersecurity, and technology contracting from Osgoode Hall Law School.
