Administrative & Regulatory LawJonathan Lisus is a partner whose litigation practice spans more than 30 years, covering areas such as constitutional law, competition law, criminal law, professional liability, financial services, franchise law, contract disputes, and cases involving the liability of public authorities. He has taken more than 90 cases through to judgment and argued upward of 60 appeals in provincial appellate courts and at the Supreme Court of Canada. He also acts as special counsel to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association on matters challenging government action, and he maintains an active trial and appellate practice across Canada. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, serves on the Advisory Committee on Professionalism convened by the Chief Justice of Ontario, and belongs to the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, a small band of advocates chosen to give lawyers appearing at the Supreme Court of Canada free peer review of their arguments.
