About Lawrence

Lawrence Theall is a senior partner at Theall Group LLP practising commercial litigation and arbitration, insurance coverage, and product liability. He has served as lead counsel in more than 85 trials and hearings that went to final decision, along with over 15 injunction proceedings, and has appeared before courts across Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces. He represents global manufacturers, including current clients Hyundai, Cessna and Toyota, on product litigation, insurance and regulatory matters, and he spent eight years as Hyundai's Assistant General Counsel before continuing as its national trial counsel since 1995. Larry holds a qualified arbitrator designation from the ADR Institute of Canada and co-authored a text on product liability law. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1985, where he won the Laskin Prize for constitutional law.
