About Jon
Jon Ponath practises in tax planning for individuals, private corporations and farm organizations. He earned his Juris Doctor with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2016, adding to his Bachelor of Commerce with Great Distinction received in 2013, and won several academic awards including the Goldenberg Prize in Taxation. He served as an editorial board member for the Saskatchewan Law Review and, before joining Felesky Flynn, articled as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan and practised for three years at a full-service Saskatoon law firm. He chairs the Taxation Section of the CBA Saskatchewan Branch. He was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2017 and the Alberta bar in 2025.
