About Christopher
Chris Montes is co-managing partner of the Calgary office of Felesky Flynn LLP, focusing on corporate and international tax planning and representing clients at the audit, objection and appeal stages of tax disputes. With over 15 years of tax law experience, he has taught international tax law at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law and has testified as an expert witness on Canadian income tax matters. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2009 and the Alberta bar in 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Gold Medallist) from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Laws (Silver Medallist) from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Master of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge, and is a past president of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.
