About John

John Dennie was admitted to the Bar in 1996 and has practised labour law throughout his career. He long represented employees before the Commission des normes du travail, and during that time helped draft amendments to the Act respecting labour standards addressing workplace harassment. When those provisions came into force, he trained the Commission's investigators on investigation methods and handling psychological harassment complaints. Throughout his labour law practice, he provided advisory support on collective agreement interpretation, disciplinary management, and investigations into psychological, sexual and discriminatory harassment, working to ensure investigations were conducted properly and that reports accurately reflected the situations examined. He later became an investigator and facilitator, and is now an accredited mediator for Korum.
