About Joelle

Joelle Barney is an associate at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, having returned to the firm after summering there in 2021. She graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2023, where she served as President of the Indigenous Law Students Association and organized events on Indigenous issues. Before law school, Joelle earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from NAIT in 2020. Her work at the firm has included acting as counsel to Saguaro Resources Ltd. in its acquisition by Tourmaline Oil Corp.
