About Joel

Joel Whysall is the managing partner of Mickelson, Whysall & Moore Law Group, with more than 20 years practising criminal defence in Vancouver and throughout British Columbia. He handles drug and firearms offences, sexual assault, fraud and theft, crimes of violence, civil forfeiture, motor vehicle offences including impaired driving, criminal appeals, and serious matters such as murder, kidnapping, conspiracy, and proceeds-of-crime charges. He has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal in British Columbia. He earned his law degree from the University of British Columbia, grew up in Burnaby after being born in Winnipeg, and lives in Vancouver.
