About Joel

Joel Sellers is a member of Patterson Law's Real Property team, helping clients resolve complications that arise in real estate transactions and acting as an advisor to small businesses and public agencies. He graduated as class valedictorian from Saint Mary's University in 1993 and obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 1997, later being elected to the National Council of the Canadian Bar Association. Sellers was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1998 and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for real estate law since 2023. He is active in the New Glasgow community, serving as president of the New Caledonian Curling Club, a trustee of the Pictou Academy Educational Foundation, and past president of the New Glasgow Dragon Boat Society.
