About Joel
Joel S. Guberman is a senior cross-border immigration lawyer with more than 40 years of experience. He acts for executives, individuals, and multinational organizations, covering Canada-U.S. business immigration, the categories opened up by trade treaties, and skilled-worker streams. He is licensed to practise law in Ontario and in Massachusetts, and has been active in Canada-U.S. cross-border immigration issues since before NAFTA. Guberman was a founding member and past Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Canada Chapter, and a past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Citizenship and Immigration Law section. He studied at Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Manitoba, and frequently lectures on Canadian and U.S. immigration law.
