About Jocelyne
Jocelyne's practice centers on helping clients navigate the criminal and forensic mental health system. She represents individuals found not criminally responsible due to mental disorder, appearing before the Ontario Review Board both as counsel and as court-appointed amicus curiae. After earning her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1998, she began her career in health law before moving to California to practice IP litigation in Silicon Valley. Since returning to the Durham Region, she has spent more than 18 years handling criminal and mental health litigation, working as both prosecutor and defence counsel, and consults nationally and internationally on mental health and drug treatment courts. Jocelyne is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the California State Bar, and she received the Champion of Mental Health Award from the Canadian Mental Health Association's Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge branch.
