About Jim

Jim is a corporate, commercial and M&A lawyer with more than 15 years of in-house experience, primarily in the energy sector. He has supported commercial transactions tied to the development, construction, financing and operation of energy and infrastructure projects, including design-build agreements, joint ventures, power purchase contracts and project finance agreements, as well as M&A deals involving the acquisition and sale of infrastructure assets. Before joining the firm, Jim held in-house roles at Candu Energy, NextEra Energy, Ontario Power Generation and SunEdison, where he served as Head of Legal for Canada leading the legal team on solar energy projects. He chairs the board of directors of Osteoporosis Canada. Jim earned his LL.B. from Queen's University's Faculty of Law in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 2002.
