Jim Mutter is the managing lawyer and co-founder of Whiteboard Law. He was previously a partner at Fasken Martineau LLP, where he helped establish one of the largest technology law practices in Vancouver, and co-founded a venture-backed network intelligence software company, since relocated to Boston. Jim has been recognized in Martindale-Hubbell as a top business lawyer in Canada and in Best Lawyers Canada for corporate commercial law. He served as President of the Premier's Technology Council, advising the B.C. government on technology policy, and has sat on the boards of Vecima Networks Inc. and QHR Technologies Inc., as well as not-for-profit boards including DigiBC and the BC Technology Industry Association. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, fund creation, and venture capital financing for emerging technology companies, along with complex corporate structuring, corporate finance, and business formation. Jim has also been a guest instructor for the Law Society of British Columbia's Professional Legal Training Course and an adjunct law professor at the University of British Columbia.
