About Jessica
Jessica Bishop's clients include banks and other financial institutions, insurers, technology service providers, pension funds, and government agencies, primarily in the asset management, health care, energy, and securities sectors, on matters involving the development, acquisition, and use of technology. Her work spans technology contracts, outsourcing arrangements, cloud services, payment systems, software licensing, fintech, systems implementation, data processing, and privacy compliance, with an increasing focus on artificial intelligence and cloud-based software services. Before attending law school, Jessica worked as a communications and policy adviser for Ontario's Attorney General and Solicitor General, and earlier spent time in the Naval Reserves of the Canadian Forces, working as a marine systems engineer. Prior to Goodmans, Jessica practised as an associate at a different Canadian law firm, where her work touched on technology contracting, outsourcing, payment matters, and privacy law.
