About Jesse

Jesse is the second generation of the Sanderson family at Sanderson Entertainment Law, having grown up helping his father, firm founder Paul Sanderson, and attending the Juno Awards since childhood. He studied at Victoria College at the University of Toronto, majoring in archaeology and graduating with distinction, before deciding to follow his father into entertainment law. He earned his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, where he interned with the Department of the Interior's Office of the Solicitor. Jesse is licensed as an attorney in Massachusetts, New York, and Ontario, called to the bar in 2022, 2024, and 2026 respectively. He is active with Young Music Professionals and CARAS, judged the 2025 Juno Awards in the Traditional Roots Album of the Year category, and sits on the board of the Hand Eye Society.
