About Jeremy
Jeremy Newton is a criminal defence lawyer and owner of Bulwark Law, with offices in Calgary and Airdrie. He obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2011 and worked as a general practice lawyer before spending over a decade as a Federal Prosecutor for the Government of Canada, working on high-profile cases across Alberta and training police and correctional officers. Early in his career he argued a case that went to the Supreme Court of Canada and overturned a law, becoming one of the youngest lawyers to do so. As a prosecutor, he focused on alternative resolutions including drug treatment court and Indigenous court. He now defends clients throughout Alberta in matters including assault, sexual assault, driving offences, financial crime, and weapons offences.
