About Nielsen
Nielsen Beatty was born and raised in Calgary and has argued in all levels of court in Alberta as well as the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He has extensive experience in employment litigation for both employers and individuals, and has represented clients before Alberta and British Columbia labour tribunals. His construction practice covers commercial litigation disputes for small to mid-sized companies dealing with contractual issues or governance concerns, and years spent representing insurance companies gave him insight into the insurance-defence side of personal injury, medical negligence and construction matters. He spent over nine years in the Canadian Army as an infantry officer and continues to serve part-time in the military reserves, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires - Alberta South.
