Real Estate LawJennifer L. Schofield is counsel at Kennedy Schofield Lutz Lawyers and a founding partner of the firm, having practiced in the St. Margaret's Bay/Tantallon area since 2001. She practices primarily in family law, focusing on separation and divorce, child support, custody and access, common-law relationships, cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, adoption, and child protection, and also practices real estate law, handling migrations, purchases, sales, and financing arrangements for residential property. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (general, 1991) and Bachelor of Arts Honours (sociology, 1995) from Acadia University, followed by a Master of Arts in sociology (1996) and a Bachelor of Laws (2000) from Dalhousie University. After practicing law and managing her own firm for a number of years, she and Tracey Kennedy merged their practices in 2012 to form Kennedy Schofield Lawyers. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Tantallon Senior Elementary Student Advisory Council, and previously served as secretary for the St. Margaret's Bay Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the St. Margaret's Centre. She was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2001.
