About Jennifer
Jennifer Hill is a solicitor practicing primarily in economic development for Indigenous governments and Indigenous-owned businesses. She advises on commercial, rights and title, and natural resource matters, supporting clients through project assessments and negotiating project agreements with proponents and economic reconciliation agreements with the Crown, including land transfers and forestry transactions. She has experience structuring economic development partnerships and negotiating project agreements for resorts, LNG facilities, mining, hydro, and pipeline projects. Hill also advises on land transactions and developments on and off reserve, including commercial leasing under the First Nations Land Management Act, and has developed governance expertise, assisting clients with election and membership codes and environmental assessments. She holds an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia (2008) and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2009, and is a member of the Indigenous Bar Association.
