About Jennifer
Jennifer Fairfax provides environmental and regulatory advice, concentrating on environmental law and litigation as well as commercial and construction disputes. She has extensive experience negotiating with regulators such as Ontario's Ministry of the Environment, guiding clients through inspections, investigations and reporting duties, and handling environmental litigation, including civil proceedings, judicial reviews, tribunal matters and defence against prosecutions. Jennifer also advises on environmental assessments, regulatory orders, permits, contaminated sites and renewable energy projects in the context of corporate transactions. She has appeared before several Ontario and federal courts and tribunals and has served as lead appellate counsel in constitutional litigation. Jennifer previously chaired the Ontario Bar Association's Environmental Law Section executive and clerked for the Honourable Justice Edgar Sexton at the Federal Court of Appeal before joining Osler.
