About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Behrendt is the founder of Behrendt Professional Corporation, which operates OttawaWills.org, and focuses his Ottawa practice on wills, powers of attorney, and trusts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo in 1993 on a Descartes and a Canada Scholarship, a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 1996, where he was an Associate Editor of the University of Toronto Law Review, and a Master of Laws with Merit from King's College London in 1998. He completed judicial clerkships at the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals before practising at law firms in London, England and Toronto. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2000. Behrendt teaches law to paralegal students at Herzing College and has been interviewed by CJOH, CJOB, and CKNW, and quoted in the Canadian Bar Association's National Magazine.
