About Jeff

Jeff Moroz is legal counsel at MJM LLP, working in business law, construction, bankruptcy, insolvency restructuring, estate litigation and general litigation. As a barrister and solicitor he has more than 40 reported decisions at all levels of court and has acted in numerous commercial arbitrations, including as lead counsel at trials in the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Appeal, and has handled leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada. His business litigation practice covers shareholder disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, corporate workouts, construction matters and commercial foreclosures, and he has extensive experience with fraud cases and pre-judgment relief for individuals and shareholders. He earned a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba in 1994 and his LL.B. from the University of Alberta in 1997. He has published on investment fraud and construction-related insolvency and presented on commercial lease matters.
