About Fraser

Fraser is a staff lawyer whose work centers on climate change and opposing fossil fuel development. He leads Ecojustice's involvement in the Mathur case, a youth-led constitutional challenge to Ontario's climate change targets and the first case to test whether a government's contribution to the climate crisis breaches the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He also leads the organization's efforts against coal mining, transportation, and export, including work that helped stop a thermal coal export facility in Surrey, BC, and coordinated opposition to coal projects in Alberta and BC. Before becoming a lawyer, Fraser was involved with various environmental and social justice organizations.
