About Jeff

Jeff Van Bakel obtained a law degree from Queen's University in Kingston in 2007 and was called to the bar in June 2008. Jeff Van Bakel practised on Bay Street in Toronto for a decade before returning to London in October 2017 to join a litigation boutique, and joined Scott Petrie LLP as a partner in October 2020. The practice focuses on commercial litigation, professional negligence defence and construction litigation, with a results-oriented strategy for each file. Jeff Van Bakel grew up on a farm in Dublin, Ontario, north of London, and now lives in the Masonville area.
