Jean-Michel Fréchette is a bilingual litigation lawyer, mediator, and workplace investigator based in Ottawa, called to the Ontario and British Columbia bars in 2013. He founded Fréchette Mediation in January 2021 after nearly a decade litigating insurance, commercial, employment, and construction disputes across Canada. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants before provincial courts, the Federal Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and various administrative tribunals. As a workplace investigator, he has conducted investigations involving harassment and toxic work environments for private companies, school boards, sporting organizations, and non-profits.
