About Janine

Janine Liberatore is a partner at Zubas Flett Liberatore Law LLP with more than 18 years focused on labour and employment law. For much of her career she worked in-house at large national corporations, which gave her a practical, business-minded approach to advising on labour relations, workplace investigations, and organizational restructuring. Her work has included representing employers in policy grievances over union jurisdiction, negotiating a $1.6 million settlement for a constructively dismissed employee, and obtaining a Labour Relations Board order that compelled a striking union to resume work. Janine has also represented employers at interest arbitrations in the municipal and hospitality sectors and has managed workplace harassment and violence investigations. She holds a law degree from Queen's University and an honours BA from York University.
