About James

James Jacuta joined Hull & Hull as an associate in 2018. He previously worked at a boutique Bay Street firm, building experience in international wills, estates, and intestate inheritance matters, with active files involving more than fifteen European countries and close work with embassies and consulates. His legal career began in Edmonton, Alberta, with many years spent on estate inheritance administration and litigation. He has travelled extensively in Europe and speaks Polish, Ukrainian, French, and English, and has also served as CEO of Vancouver-based publicly traded companies with business ties to China, South Korea, Mexico, and Ukraine. He holds an LL.B. and a Gold Medal B.A. (Honours) from the University of Alberta and received the university's Alumni Excellence Award.
