About Jacquelyn

Jacquelyn E. Miller is Contract Counsel at macushlaw, focusing on Indigenous and Aboriginal law, and is also the founder of Artemis Advocacy, a practice focused on governance, rights, and institutional decision-making. Miller's work supports Indigenous governing authorities, organizations, and individuals, as well as values-led organizations, on matters involving governance, public authority, Indigenous rights and responsibilities, and the exercise of jurisdiction, including consultation and accommodation processes and the negotiation of agreements. Before being called to the bar in 2023, Miller spent many years working with Indigenous communities and organizations, and in government, research, and intergovernmental relations roles. Miller holds a Juris Doctor and Juris Indigenarum Doctor, a dual degree in Canadian common law and Indigenous legal orders, from the University of Victoria, and has taught in that program.
