About Jacob

Jacob Roth is an associate in Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP's criminal practice, representing clients before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as administrative tribunals and professional regulatory bodies. Before joining the firm, he practiced at a Toronto criminal defence firm focused on defending sexual assault allegations. He received his law degree from the University of Toronto in 2018; during school he assisted with medical malpractice files at a civil litigation firm. He then articled with the in-house litigation team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, representing the hospital at hearings involving clients found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible. In 2020 he earned an LLM with high distinction from Columbia University. Jacob is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and was called to the Ontario and New York Bars in 2019.
