About Jacob

Jacob began his career at one of the world's largest law firms, working in estate and commercial litigation, before moving to a boutique firm where he focused solely on estate litigation and eventually became a partner. He now practices as counsel at Donovan Kochman, where he has served as section 3 counsel and appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He has written and presented on estates topics for groups such as the Advocates' Society, the Estate Planners' Council of Halton, and the Ontario Bar Association, and chaired the Advocates' Society's Estates Litigation Practice Group. He was named in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in Canada for trusts and estates and ranked by Chambers and Partners' 2022 High Net Worth Guide for private wealth disputes.
