About Jacob
Jacob Elyk earned a political science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2018 and a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2021, winning the NB Trial Lawyers' Association Prize in Trial Practice and an award for best communication skills at the Canadian National Negotiation Moot. He articled with a plaintiff personal injury firm in St. John's and was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2022, appearing in courts including the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Federal Court of Canada. He joined Diamond & Diamond Lawyers in 2023 and now practises law in Ontario.
