About Jacob

Jacob Newbigging joined Witten LLP in September 2025 as an articling student. After completing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science and a minor in economics, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2025. During law school, Jacob worked as a legal administrative assistant with Witten's conveyancing team and contributed to the University of Alberta's Student Appeals Committee and Student Legal Services. In 2019, he represented his university as a delegate at the National Model United Nations. Outside of work, Jacob is an avid Edmonton Oilers fan and enjoys golfing, cycling, pickleball and skiing.
