About Ian

Ian Restall is the managing partner of Restall & Restall LLP, with a legal career spanning decades in corporate and commercial law, real estate, wills and estates, family law, mining and resource law, and employment law. Raised in Winnipeg's North End, he graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a BA before earning his law degree from the University of Victoria with a first-class average, winning the Law Society of British Columbia Gold Medal for the highest standing in his faculty. He then completed a graduate law degree at the University of Oxford on a full scholarship. Ian lectures at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law and the Asper School of Business, and serves on several community and professional boards, including the Manitoba Law Foundation and the Manitoba Mining Board.
