Ian's litigation practice covers a wide range of areas, including shareholder and partnership disputes, contract disagreements, insurance coverage matters, and construction litigation such as highway construction and lien claims. He also handles real estate disputes, professional negligence, insolvency matters, estate litigation, employment disputes, and landlord-tenant, environmental, and transportation litigation, along with health law disputes. His clients include lawyers, law firms, and politicians, as well as individuals, corporations, and estates dealing with shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, insurance coverage fights, injunctions, defamation claims, and guarantee enforcement. Ian has a strong interest in teaching, having served as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law and later as an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, both teaching Commercial Law - Secured Transactions and Commercial Law respectively. In one case, acting as counsel for one of several defendants, he secured summary judgment dismissing the plaintiff's claim against his client.
