Ian Kennedy joined Rosenberg Law in 2019 and practises law in Aboriginal rights and title, employment law, human rights, and class actions, regularly appearing for clients before BC courts and the BC Human Rights Tribunal. He was part of the litigation team representing the Cowichan Nation in the precedent-setting Cowichan Tribes v. Canada (Attorney General), 2025 BCSC 1490. He graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he received the Macdonald Prize and was published in the University of Toronto Law Review, is a former clerk of the BC Supreme Court, including to then-Chief Justice Robert Bauman, and has taught as an Adjunct Professor at UBC's Allard Hall Law School.
