About Ian

Ian Farooque leads the corporate law practice at Pace Law Firm, advising business owners and entrepreneurs on the legal issues that arise across a company's lifecycle. He works primarily with privately held and small to mid-sized businesses on matters such as buying and selling companies, corporate reorganizations, secured lending, refinancing and commercial leasing, and he prepares and negotiates a range of commercial agreements. Before joining Pace, he practised corporate and commercial law at another Ontario firm, handling mergers and acquisitions and financing arrangements. Ian holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law and an MBA from the Telfer School of Management, which informs his commercially minded approach to advising clients.
