The Honourable I. Bruce Josephson K.C. is associate counsel at Hira Rowan LLP, assisting the firm's lawyers on complex matters and available to the profession as an arbitrator, mediator, and consultant. Called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1969, he was appointed to the Provincial Court of British Columbia in 1975, serving as Associate Chief Judge from 1984 to 1988 and Chief Judge from 1988 to 1989. He was later appointed to the County Court of British Columbia in 1989 and, after the 1990 merger of the Superior Courts, sat as a Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia until his retirement in April 2017. During his 42-year judicial career, Bruce handled a full range of criminal, civil, and family matters and was appointed King's Counsel in January 2021.
