About Howard
Howard Mickelson, KC has a reputation as one of BC's top lawyers, having worked on some of the province's most complex commercial and public law cases over more than thirty years. His practice spans business and contract litigation, professional negligence and public liability defence, corporate and society governance disputes, defamation, and major constitutional matters, including representing Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou in her civil rights lawsuit against the Government of Canada and acting for the Director of Civil Forfeiture in the PacNet Services litigation. Howard taught civil litigation at the University of British Columbia for several years and is a frequent speaker for Continuing Legal Education on advanced litigation practice. He earned a BA in Political Science with Distinction from the University of Hawaii in 1982 and his LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1985, was called to the British Columbia bar in 1986, and was appointed King's Counsel in 2008.
