About Houtan
Houtan Mashinchi is an associate in Osler's Technology group, based in the firm's Vancouver office, where he advises clients in the technology sector. His practice covers commercial and technology law, with a focus on drafting, negotiating and advising on complex commercial contracts, including agreements relating to software as a service, software licensing, technology procurement, and development and collaboration arrangements. Before becoming a lawyer, Houtan worked as in-house counsel for a publicly traded global technology company. He holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor and a B.A. (Honours) in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, and he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C).
