About Benjamin

Benjamin (Ben) McLean's primary focus is family law, including matters of family violence, child and spousal support, and division of family property, and he has represented clients in the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia, including at trial. He also practises civil litigation, with a focus on spouses or children contesting wills. He previously worked as a high school teacher and has drawn on that background to coach clients preparing for court. He obtained a BA with a major in History and a JD from the University of British Columbia, and worked in a judicial externship program assisting provincial court judges with legal research and decision writing after law school.
