About Henry

Henry Lue is a partner whose practice has centred on trademark agency and enforcement work for over two and a half decades, acting for multinationals and some of Canada's top trademark filers. He advises on trademark protection, enforcement, and global portfolio management, and has appeared as counsel before the Federal Court, the Ontario courts, the Trademarks Opposition Board, and the Supreme Court of Canada on fundamental trademark law issues. Henry writes and speaks frequently on trademark topics such as functionality, counterfeit goods, and infringement, and is the author of the Canadian Marketing Law Handbook. He has been recognized by the World Trademark Review, Chambers Canada, Best Lawyers, and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for his intellectual property work. He is active with the International Trademark Association and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, sitting on several of their committees, and has lectured at the McGill/IPIC Summer IP Course. Henry holds an LL.B. from Western University and a B.Sc. with Distinction in Physiology from the University of Toronto, and is a registered Canadian trademark agent.
