About Helen
Helen Ward is counsel in Duncan Craig LLP's Estate Solutions group, advising family members, executors and trust companies on estate disputes both in and out of court, including matters of mental capacity, interpretation of wills, conflicts between executors and beneficiaries, and powers of attorney. She also assists with estate planning, including wills, powers of attorney and personal directives, and advises executors on estate administration. She has spent her entire career at Duncan Craig LLP since articling there in 1988, holds a Bachelor of Arts and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta, and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). She received the King's Counsel appointment in 2024.
