About Heather

Heather Richardson grew up on a farm near Lindsay and was called to the Ontario bar in 2007. She joined Staples & Swain as an associate that year after articling at a downtown Toronto law firm, became a partner in 2009, and has served as the firm's managing lawyer since 2012. Her practice covers corporate and commercial law, business transactions, estate planning and administration, real estate, and municipal law. She has handled residential, farm, and commercial real estate deals, drafted wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and advised executors and trustees on estate administration. She also counsels clients on business acquisitions, sales, and succession planning. Richardson serves as a director of the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation and is a member of the Kawartha Lakes Estate Planning Council.
