About Harriet
Harriet Igwe is dual-qualified to practise law in Canada and Nigeria and is an associate at The Republic Law. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Hull and an LL.M. in International Corporate Finance from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, and brings over seven years of experience in legal practice, policy advisory, and international development. Her practice focuses on litigation, regulatory matters, corporate advisory work, and multi-jurisdictional projects. She has also worked extensively with the World Bank Group as a legal consultant and safeguards specialist, supporting development projects across fragile, conflict, and violence-affected regions, and contributed to Nigeria's sovereign green bond program and ECOWAS investment climate reform projects.
