Ugo Ukpabi is the founder and principal of The Republic Law, with a practice centred on corporate, commercial, and civil litigation. He has practised in Nigeria, Geneva, the United States, and Canada, and appears before all levels of Alberta courts. His areas of practice include litigation, personal injury, family law matters involving corporate assets, real estate, and corporate transactions. He holds a Ph.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, an MA from Carleton University, an LL.M. from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Nigeria, and a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Nigerian Law School. He was called to the bar in Nigeria in 1995 and in Alberta in 2008, holds the C.Dir. designation (2023) and King's Counsel (2022), and belongs to the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Nigerian Bar Association, the Calgary Bar Association, and the International Law Association of Canada.
