Hamna Anwar is a barrister and solicitor at Lindsay Law whose practice is devoted entirely to criminal defence. She handles trials and appeals at every level of court in Ontario, taking on charges such as homicide, sexual assault, impaired driving, complex fraud, firearms offences, and drug crimes. Hamna earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, after completing a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Toronto, and she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018. She is active outside the courtroom too, serving as Co-Director of Membership and Diversity for Women in Canadian Criminal Defence and previously holding executive roles with the Ontario Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section and Women Lawyers Forum. She speaks English, Urdu, and Punjabi, and has some familiarity with Hindi. Hamna aims to give every client, regardless of background, a judgment-free and trauma-informed experience.
